Set in a near-future Nigeria, Noor by Nnedi Okorafor is the story of a woman who prefers to go by her initials, AO, which she likes to think stands for Artificial Organism. Due to some issues she was born with and a car accident, AO has had numerous body augmentations, which make her feared by some. Things become even more complicated when she meets a man named DNA, and ends up on the run after a routine trip to the market.
