Why Fans Think a "Suits" Revival Is in the Works
"Suits" has caught its second wind thanks to its streaming home at Netflix and . The former USA Network legal drama ended after nine seasons back in the autumn of 2019, shortly after Meghan Markle made her exit, but has since resurfaced among viewers this summer. And with all the sudden interest in the show, fans are wondering if that's enough for a 10th season to ever see the light of day.
On 26 Sept., "Suits" star Patrick J. Adams, who played Mike Ross, posted a series of throwback photos with his former castmates — which include Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Max Topplin, and Gina Torres — on Instagram. He captioned one post, "I miss my friends," and another, "Each and every one of them." The actor's nostalgia immediately fuelled fans' demands for a "Suits" revival, with one user commenting, "Mike Ross coming back ? 👀" Another wrote, "C'mon man, can't post that and NOT announce a new season!! 😢"

Will There Be a "Suits" Season 10?
According to executive producer Gene Klein, who served as a non-writing producer during "Suits"'s nine-season run, he hasn't heard about "any serious conversations" regarding a revival, according to a July interview with TVLine. However, he did say he mentioned to creator Aaron Korsh that he's "expecting a call at some point." "It's just one of those things where, in this day and age, you wouldn't be surprised if somebody called you someday," he told the outlet. "But so far, nothing that I'm aware of."

While a formal onscreen "Suits" reunion isn't in the works yet, Klein revealed that a small group of the cast and crew reunited during the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes this summer. He shared at the time, "A lot of us saw each other a month or so ago because there was a 'Suits'-themed picket at Fox one day, and a lot of the writers, some of whom didn't know each other because people were on seasons one and two, but not the later seasons, so some of the writers were meeting for the first time. But a lot of the actors came to that as well."
As exciting as it'd be to round up the original cast for another season of "Suits," Klein acknowledged that "it was a complicated dance keeping everybody involved" during the show's heyday — especially when it came to "getting all the actors' deals done and keeping them involved through the end of the show." As far as Markle's participation, Klein told TVLine, "I would assume that's just not possible." However, he did add, "I'd be surprised if we could thread that needle for a reunion, but I'd also be delighted if that happened because [when] you do a show for that long, everybody becomes such a good friend."
"Suits" — which starred Markle, Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, Amanda Schull, Dulé Hill, and Katherine Heigl — aired on TV from 2011 to 2019 before it made its way to streaming. These days, the show regularly trends in Netflix's Top 10 category and, per TVLine, it marked a Nielsen streaming chart record the week of June 29 when it reached 3.1 billion minutes viewed on both Netflix and Peacock.
Klein told TVLine he was "surprised" at the show's massive resurgence, though he "had a sense" it was coming when the first eight seasons got added to Netflix's library. "The first time the [Nielsen] weekly Top 10 came out and the first three seasons were in there, I thought, 'Well, if everyone just keeps on watching, this is going to go on for a while because they'll keep on moving through the seasons,' and that's exactly what's happening," he added. "People are sticking with it. It's lovely."
