Zendaya Teases a New Euphoria Episode Before Season 2

It Turns Out That Zendaya Is Just as Ready For More Euphoria as the Rest of Us

If you think you're the only one hungering for more of HBO's Euphoria, you'd be very wrong. Zendaya revealed to Ben Platt, guest host extraordinaire for Jimmy Kimmel Live on Aug. 19, that the Euphoria cast was just about to start filming season two when production was shut down due to COVID-19. While she admitted that she's not entirely sure when they'll be able to start production again, she did tease the possibility of the cast putting on a sort of bridge episode in the meantime. "I don't really know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited amount of people in a safer environment that can, I don't know, give people something," she explained. Maybe it could be an emotional FaceTime between Rue (Zendaya) and Jules (Hunter Schafer)?

When Platt brought up Zendaya's recent Emmy nom, the actress admitted that her f*cked up sleep schedule during quarantine almost made her miss the excitement. Euphoria creator Sam Levinson called to wake her with the exciting news on the day of the announcement, though she quickly went back to sleep soon after their phone call.
