Depop Seller Internet Girl
Depop is hands down the coolest fashion resale spot on the Internet, and soon you'll be able to shop your favourite boutiques IRL at the Selfridges Depop Space in London. Eleven of Instagram's edgiest and most influential style stars will feature in Depop's first ever pop-up store in Europe.
If you haven't heard of Depop, it's an online fashion marketplace where you can buy, sell, and be inspired by one-of-a-kind fashion pieces. Anyone can set up shop, flex their entrepreneurial skills, and make serious bank. Most Depop boutiques are run by teenagers and 20-somethings who resell their wardrobes, create new and unique fashion pieces made from deconstructed garments, and support the sustainable fashion industry.
Sartorial mavericks like Internet Girl, Basement Six, Myaemade, and Christianah Jones Eyewear have been invited by Selfridges to curate the future of the department store as part of the brand's Autumn/Winter 2019 campaign, The New Order. "Coming together with a fashion authority like Selfridges is an exciting opportunity for members of our community to extend their reach offline and take their business to the next level," said Peter Semple, Depop chief marketing officer.
Starting on Aug. 1 and running until the end of October, Selfridges Depop Space will feature key pieces from a unique Depop seller each week. You'll be able to find rare vintage designer treasures, upcycled, recycled, and unique reworked pieces at affordable prices. The space will also be hosting workshops and events lead by the sellers that explore themes of fashion entrepreneurship. And if you're not able to make it into Selfridges London then don't worry because an exclusive selection of clothing and accessories will also be available at Selfridges online.
