I Never Thought the Colour Red Looked Good on Me . . . Until Now

My fashion closet is overflowing with colourful pieces. No matter the season, you'll find soft pastels, vivid yellows and deep earthy tones, but red pieces? Prepare for the wild goose chase. I used to dodge red clothing like an ex you avoid making eye-contact with on the train. Admittedly, I felt intimidated thinking it wouldn't enhance my dark complexion.
The red fashion gods were set on proving me wrong, so the universe conspired to have this A.L.C. Lyra Skirt ($395) and Lennyn Top ($195) on my radar. I was of course, hesitant to go for it at first, but all my reservations flew out the window when I put it on.
I felt feminine and sexy. Together, the pieces exude undeniable confidence, but they look just as casually elegant when worn on their own. I love the bandeau style top, which is accentuated by the ruching detail and comfortable straps. They are designed for a snug fit, so you won't have to constantly adjust them. The skirt is smocked and ultra formfitting, and it flows nicely as you walk or hey, dance. You might need to straighten the skirt fabric on occasion, but it will not restrict your movements.
