Heidi Klum Shows Off Her Plunging Thongkini on a Romantic Boat Ride
Heidi Klum continues to embrace the popular thongkini trend. On 29 June, the 50-year-old model shared several snaps and videos from a boat ride with husband Tom Kaulitz during a romantic holiday in Italy. Klum is seen driving the boat and posing for photos in a black Versace swimsuit, which featured a plunging V-neck top and matching high-cut bottoms with a thong-style back.
The smooth, stretchy pieces were recognisably from Versace, as they were both embellished with the brand's notable gold border and Medusa head. She minimally accessorised her boat outfit with a few necklaces, oversize sunglasses, and a black-and-white baseball cap.
Klum has been a longtime fan of the thongkini. She famously made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut wearing one, and more recently, she sported one of the boldest takes on the trend. A month before, she wore nothing but a pair of black, thong-style string bottoms during a getaway with Kaulitz in Cannes at the end of May.
Aside from Klum, a handful of celebrities have recently been spotted rocking thongkinis on holiday. In fact, in recent years, the style has seemingly become Hollywood's swimsuit of choice. In the past week alone, stars like Sofia Vergara and Addison Rae have given the trend a go.
