Lady Gaga's Turquoise Feather Gown at the Grammys

Why Lady Gaga's Sheer Feathered Dress Holds Sentimental Value

Lady Gaga's Turquoise Feather Gown at the Grammys

Lady Gaga has been sticking to a classic and elegant red carpet wardrobe this season. At the 2022 Grammys, she wore a total of three dresses, finishing the night in the most special design of all: a turquoise crepe back satin and custom dyed silk velvet gown from Topo Studio NY. Topo Studio is her sister Natali Germanotta's design house, which offers full service garment development, from sketching to construction.

Gaga's intricately crafted Grammys look came personalized with an embroidered tag that read "Stef" and a detachable sheer feathered capelet speckled with rhinestones. Gaga played up the pops of silver with Tiffany & Co. flower earrings in platinum and 18k yellow gold with diamonds, plus a pair of metallic pointed-toe pumps.

Prior to showing off her sister's emerging label in the audience, Gaga performed "Love For Sale" and "Do I Love You" in a blue Elie Saab Haute Couture satin gown with a strapless, A-line silhouette, a gigantic bow, and a floor-sweeping train at the back. Over the course of the night, she also won two Grammys, including best traditional pop vocal album and best engineered album, non-classical, for "Love For Sale" with Tony Bennett.

Earlier in the evening, Gaga walked the red carpet in a one-shoulder black-and-white Armani Privé gown, replete with a satin train that swept gracefully around the back of the dress. She accessorised the look with eye-catching Tiffany & Co. jewels.

It's not the first time Gaga has worn Topo Studio, and we doubt it will be the last. Previously, she wore two dresses onstage — one in black velvet and the other comprised of champagne feathers and a nude mesh bodice — at an album launch in LA.

Ahead, see why Gaga's turquoise gown stood out on Grammys night — not just for its sentimental value, but also for its regal air.
