Lil Nas X Arrives at the Grammys Wearing Pearl-Encrusted Armor
Lil Nas X has arrived for music's biggest night. Known for his creative, flamboyant red carpet looks, he didn't disappoint with his bold 2022 Grammys ensemble. Wearing an embroidered white suit encrusted with shiny pearls and silver sequins, the singer rocked the Balmain armor with confidence. The cropped jacket also featured butterfly details on the chest and arms, adding a pop of colour to the otherwise monochromatic outfit (his shimmery blue eyeshadow added some brightness and dimension as well). He completed the look with his signature footwear: chunky platform boots to match the rest of his outfit.
The musician's debut album, "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)," is nominated for five Grammys at Sunday's ceremony, including album, record, and song of the year, as well as best melodic rap performance and music video. He's set to take the stage to perform his hit "Industry Baby" alongside Jack Harlow, and we can certainly expect an outfit change or two during his performance.
The singer also wore Balmain at the Variety Hitmakers event in December, honoured as the innovator of the year in a white suit from Olivier Rousteing's spring/summer 2022 collection. The look consisted of a barely-there bandage top and satin jacquard co-ords, which he paired with a diamond-encrusted choker, earrings, and rings. Whether it's a puffer and skirt set at the Jingle Ball, a feathery yellow suit at the LACMA Gala, or a lilac suit with a train at the VMAs, the singer always delivers major fashion moments on the red carpet.
