Lily Collins Nails Winter Dressing in 4 Warm, yet Chic Looks

Collins shows how to make a minidresses winter-proof. Styled by Rob Zangardi, the actor opted for a houndstooth Fendi minidress with cold shoulder cutouts, panelled skirt, and belt with gold hardware. This was layered over a long-sleeved mock neck black top, semi-sheer tights, and sky-high patent platform heels. Her trusted Cartier mini box bag accompanied her with Cartier hoop earrings and a cream slim-fit blazer popped on over the top.

DJ Quintero swept her hair up, keeping face-framing layers pulled out at the front to give a more subtle finish with her bangs, while Vincent Oquendo gave her a warm smokey eye.

Not only are Collins and McDowell super cute, but tonally, the couple looked good together. Collins wore a chic patterned knit with off-white cropped mom jeans, and New Balance trainers. She accessorised with gloves, cream knitted beanie hat, and a Cartier mini top handle bag. Yet the coat is what really caught our attention. Her brown maxi coat falls to the floor and features wide lapels. An ideal option for those wanting to wrap up from head to toe while still feeling well put-together.

A quick change into a light blue strapless corset with matching blue wide leg trousers was next for Collins. The co-ord, by Milan fashion brand Del Core, included a corseted top with small peplum that sits over the waistband of the trousers. Additional fabric with asymmetric hem is attached to the top which falls effortlessly to the knee for a super flattering finish. More platform heels were added and a classic camel overcoat added warmth from the cold — a solid choice for outerwear that never goes out of style.

With her hair let down into loose waives, a pop of red lip completed the look.

For the final look of the day to visit "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", Collins opted for Dior. Posting on Instagram that she was channeling Wednesday Addams, the outfit certainly had a gothcore feel about it. The black lace midi dress with flared sleeves radiated dark femininity. She wore it over semi-sheer tights, black pointed Louboutin heels, and a netted hairband. Keeping the whole look black, a loose robe coat was chosen. With no fastenings, the coat adds warmth while allowing the outfit underneath to still peak through.

For the evening, Oquendo added a touch of glitter to her makeup with some purple eyeshadow to give a hint of sparkle, while Quintero swept her hair back up into a low ponytail to let the hairband be the star.
