Levi's was one of the first companies to donate to HIV/AIDS causes in 1982, as well as the first Fortune 500 company to offer full medical benefits to unmarried domestic partners of employees. The brand also filed a brief with the California Supreme Court supporting same-sex marriage in 2007. In the past two years, 100 percent of the net proceeds of Levi's Pride collection were donated to the Harvey Milk Foundation, Stonewall Community Foundation, and OutRight Action International. Levi has also consistently received top ratings from the Human Rights Campaign's Business Coalition for the Equality Act, which rates companies on their equity for LGBTQ+ workers and their families in the form of comprehensive policies, benefits, and practices.
