Rihanna made a triumphant return to the red carpet at the premiere of Marvel's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" in Hollywood on 26 Oct. Wearing a strapless, olive-toned Rick Owens dress swathed in sequins, the singer's powerful presence was undeniable at the event, where she arrived hand-in-hand with partner A$AP Rocky to celebrate her release of the film track "Lift Me Up."
The 34-year-old multi-hyphenate's mermaid silhouette was completed with an unconventional fold of fabric that swung around her hips, seemingly creating a halo effect. She styled it with leather, khaki-coloured opera gloves, custom pointed-toe Giuseppe Zanotti mules, and Reza jewels — including diamond ear cuffs that peeked out from under her long, loose curls. Rihanna opted for a white pedicure, subtly accented by her bright shimmering eye makeup, and her sharply lined mocha lip offered a touch of sophistication.
The unfinished hemline on Rihanna's train is what connected her outfit to A$AP Rocky's from a visual standpoint, as the 34-year-old rapper wore head-to-toe denim in the same shade, with matching trainers and a crisp black t-shirt underneath. He, too, wore sharp diamond spikes in his ears.
Sporting voluminous mermaid waves, Rihanna's makeup was courtesy of her brand, Fenty Beauty. Using monochromatic olive green eye and highlighter to compliment her dress, Fenty Beauty Global makeup artist, Priscilla Ono, said, "We created a diamond-like shimmer on Rihanna's face and body using her favourite Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb highlighter (£31), which then allowed her semi-matte neutral pink lips with Fenty Icon Refillable Lipstick (£18) in Pose Queen to really pop. We chose a coordinating olive green colour for her eyes with Flypencil Eyeliner in Bank Tank (£21) and took that shade into her waterline so that it was a fresh and graphic eye look."
