Nike's Video Honouring the US Women's World Cup Win Will Give You Goosebumps
Going into the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup the US women's national team had one goal: to win their fourth title. Throughout the tournament they broke records, they brought their A game as they advanced through every round, and they were criticized for their celebratory style all while remaining unphased and focussed on the end goal.
To honour the USWNT's historical fourth World Cup championship, Nike released a one-minute campaign entitled "Never Stop Winning" that is guaranteed to give you chills. "I believe that we will be four-time champions and keep winning until we not only become the best female football team but the best football team in the world," the narrator declares as clips of the USWNT's 2019 FIFA World Cup journey appear on screen.
The narrator goes onto describe a world where both young boys and girls go out and play, aspiring to be like Megan Rapinoe when they grow up. "I believe that we will make our voices heard and TV shows will be talking about us every single day and not just once every four years. And that women will conquer more than just the football field like breaking every single glass ceiling," the narrator passionately proclaims.
This campaign has us ready to play our part in changing the world for women and everyone else. Nike said it best: "If they win. We win." Now, pay the USWNT what they deserve.
