As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you'll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

It's been exactly two years since Abercrombie & Fitch launched its activewear line, YPB, which stands for Your Personal Best. The collection, which is available for men and women in sizes XXS to XXL, was a direct response from customers seeking workout clothes that are truly supportive and performance-ready, but also stylish and trend-focussed. That means luxe, neutral colorways, cutouts and colorblock piping, crops that fall to just the right length, and three- to four-piece sets for the gym-to-brunch agenda. According to a press release on GlobeNewswire, the design team spent hundreds of hours working with real shoppers and influencers across genders, sizes, and body types to test and research the design details that really satisfy their clientele. Presumably, you know how popular Abercrombie jeans are on TikTok, and the look and feel of the YPB range seems like it's intended to establish the same virality.

Of course, that meant our editors were practically required to test out the product and deliver a review. Six women chose different looks from the offerings on the site and put the clothes to the test, wearing them for long periods of time and exercising in them the way we usually do. From the bestselling MotionTek jogger (which I happen to be wearing as I'm writing this) to the asymmetrical sports bras that you may mistakenly assume require constant adjustment during a workout, we conducted thorough evaluations of Abercrombie's YPB.

Ahead, read about our experience, see pictures of the POPSUGAR editors in YPB, then check out our favourite butt-sculpting leggings, one-piece bodysuits, and bike shorts for more promising athletic gear to round out your wardrobe.
