Anitta "Envolver" Dance Workout From the Fitness Marshall

This "Envolver" Dance Workout Is 3 Minutes of Thigh Burn

The song "Envolver" came out in November 2021, but we're not even close to being over it. Sang by Brazilian pop star Anitta, "Envolver" is a sensual reggaeton hit that practically begs you to dance, so it's no surprise that the song's choreography has already inspired a TikTok challenge — a slo-mo push-up with gyrating hips, which is just as hard as it sounds — and now, a dance workout from the one and only Caleb Marshall, aka The Fitness Marshall.

Like most of Marshall's workouts, the "Envolver" routine is bodyweight and primarily choreography-based, but it's not quite as fast as the dance workouts you might be used to thanks to the song's slower, heavier beat. Instead of speed, you'll focus on really nailing all the moves, including squats, shoulder pops, and of course, plenty of hip rolls (Anitta would be proud). In fact, the slower you can go on some of these moves, the more of a burn you'll feel in your thighs and butt, so don't be afraid to slow things wayyy down. The cardio portion of the workout comes from the quick transitions between moves and the fact that there's no rest. Don't get intimidated, though; the routine is just over three minutes, so give it all you've got, and don't stop until you're dripping at the end of the song. Anitta blasting through your headphones and Marshall's hilarious comments throughout ("What's a girl gotta do to get a vodka water?!") will definitely motivate you to the finish line.

This "Envolver" dance workout is a great option for a quick, standalone workout that still gets your heart bumping. If you want a longer workout, though, you could always repeat the song a few times to really nail down the moves, or use this as a cardio warm-up before another workout of your choice. If you want to stick with dance cardio, try stacking a few of Marshall's classes on top of each other to create your own full-length dance workout class.

Whatever you choose, you really can't go wrong with adding a little more Anitta to your life and your workout routine.
