Chip and Joanna, don't leave us! Unfortunately, every good thing must come to an end, and now, it's Fixer Upper's turn. Since 2013, the iconic HGTV show has given viewers the gift of Chip and Joanna Gaines, a family-oriented couple who make us feel like their next-door neighbours with every episode. Now, the heartwarming couple are saying goodbye to their series in a beautiful way.
Joanna reminisced on their time with the series by posting a tender Instagram, which contrasts her and Chip's very first and very last days of filming. Oh, how far they've come! She also took to her blog to say "thank you" to viewers and expressed gratitude for everyone's support. She shared how, for her and Chip, the show "has been rewarding, challenging, unbelievably fast and furious and nearly everything in between."
While the Gaineses may be closing this chapter of their lives, there are plenty of new ones opening. Joanna shared that Chip is currently training for the Silo District Marathon and their whole family is preparing for the birth of their fifth baby (who will probably arrive in July!). She also gave updates on all the other exciting projects the duo have their hands in, including their Magnolia Table restaurant and her upcoming cookbook. While we hate to see this series end, at least we won't have to say goodbye to the couple completely. Plus, they know where to find us if they feel the need to flex their Fixer Upper skills in the future.
