As it turns out, the Barbie Dreamhouse is more than just a place for the doll to park her pink Corvette. This week, Airbnb announced that it's offering a free two-night stay at Barbie's real-life Malibu Dreamhouse, courtesy of Ken. (Yes, just Ken.)
The house has been listed on Airbnb in the past, but this is the first time it's been available since Ken and Barbie gave it a makeover. (Don't worry, Barbie's signature all-pink aesthetic is still the prevailing decor theme.) Guests will also be able to stay in Ken's western-themed bedroom, complete with a life-size horse statue, for the first time.
The oceanfront mansion features panoramic views of the water and an expansive outdoor entertaining area. For the full Dream Life experience, you can slip into a Barbie-inspired swimsuit and take a dip in the infinity pool, throw on a pair of roller skates and hit the disco dance floor, or mix and match pieces from Ken's closet with your own Barbiecore wardrobe.
"We all have dreams, and Barbie is lucky enough to have a house full of them," Ken said in a press release. "But now, it's my turn, and I can't wait to host guests inside these one-of-a-kind – dare I say, one-of-a-Ken? – digs." Exclusively available on 21 July and 22 July, bookings will open on Monday, 17 July at 10 a.m. PT (6 p.m. BST) on Airbnb's website. The stay, which accommodates two guests, will be free of charge, though visitors are responsible for their own travel to and from the Malibu mansion.
It's not exactly the Dreamhouse from Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" movie, but that's probably for the best considering the set was missing several walls. Ahead, take a look at some of Ken's favourite rooms in Barbie's real-life Malibu Dreamhouse.
