Dora and the Lost City of Gold Trailer

Come On, Vámonos! The Live-Action Dora the Explorer Trailer Is Here, and She's All Grown Up

Dora the Explorer is about to take over the big screen, in a live-action way! The trailer for Dora and the Lost City of Gold is here, and it looks like the beloved Nick Jr. series is a little more grown-up than fans may remember. Instant Family star Isabela Moner takes the lead as a teenage Dora, who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime: high school.

Dora's parents (Eva Longoria and Michael Peña) are busy seeking out the city of lost gold, while she tackles her new school. Luckily, she has her signature bowl cut, backpack, and cousin Diego by her side. Things get messy when a few villains kidnap Dora and her friends, and she needs to save the day. Watch the full trailer to get a glimpse of the film before it hits theatres on August 2. You'll get to see Dora's monkey Boots pop up in a ahem, unique, CGI form. If this is what Boots looks like, we can't wait for Swiper's appearance — and to hear Benicio del Toro's voice for him.
