Gabrielle Union Wants People to Find Hope in Her Path to Parenthood: "You Are Not Alone"

Gabrielle Union has experienced immeasurable joys and sadness through her path to parenthood, and she hopes people can learn from her experience. During the special Oprah at Home with Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade & Their New Baby which airs on Dec. 8 on the OWN network, the 46-year-old actress opened up about the lesson everyone can take away from what she and Dwyane went through.

Gabrielle has been open about her journey to becoming a mother, revealing she struggled with infertility and experienced "eight or nine miscarriages" before she and her husband welcomed daughter Kaavia James via surrogate last month.

Oprah asked the couple what the "one thing" they wanted viewers to get from their experience is. "Hope," Gabrielle responded. She continued, listing knowledge and a sense of community as other attributes she would like observers of her story to adopt. "Every path is real and beautiful and valid and worthwhile," she said.
