Jay Cutler Once Unclogged Kristin Cavallari's Milk Ducts, Because the Things You Do For Love
Kristin Cavallari is getting really candid about a common breastfeeding woe. In a recently released trailer for her reality show, Very Cavallari, the mom of three revealed that her husband, Jay Cutler, once had to manually help her unclog her milk ducts. "I had, like, major clogged ducts. Jay had to get them out for me — sucking harder than he's ever sucked," Kristin said. "You know what? Saved my life."
Though she was laughing while saying it — and despite the fairly shocked expressions of those seated around her — Kristin's story is pretty common. In fact, Dax Shepard did the very same thing to help wife Kristen Bell with her clogged milk duct! Unfortunately, a milk duct blockage can occur if there are changes in breastfeeding frequency, among a variety of other causes. Though it might be painful, the best way to treat the blockage is to continue nursing and keep things moving, so to speak. (Mastitis is a similar issue, however, it typically involves an infection.)
