This USWNT Player Reuniting With Her Son at the World Cup Has Everyone Crying Happy Tears
US Women's National Soccer Team player Jessica McDonald will have one very special fan cheering her on during her next Women's World Cup game: her son, Jeremiah. The 31-year-old professional athlete, who is the only mother on the USWNT, reunited with her 7-year-old boy in France and documented their first interaction with an adorable video. In the short but oh-so-sweet clip Jessica shared, Jeremiah screams at the top of his lungs as soon as he lays eyes on his mom, sprinting toward her while wearing a red Team USA backpack and blue World Cup t-shirt. The satisfied grin that spreads across his face as he hugs his mama is enough to melt even the coldest, darkest of hearts.
When Jessica posted the video on social media, fans far and wide couldn't help but comment on how absurdly adorable and pure her and Jeremiah's reunion was. "Priceless!!!!! When he is older he will talk about how his mom was one of the best in the world," one Twitter user wrote in response to the clip. Another added, "This is what life is all about." We couldn't agree more!
