Tom Brady Criticized For Cliff-Jumping With His Daughter

Dwayne Johnson Weighs in on Tom Brady Cliff-Jumping With His 6-Year-Old Daughter: "Geeezus"

Tom Brady is fielding quite a bit of criticism after posting a video of him and his daughter cliff-jumping. In the clip shared on Instagram over the weekend, the New England Patriots quarterback is seen standing atop a small rocky cliff near a waterfall in Costa Rica and holding hands with his 6-year-old daughter, Vivian. Although Tom asks her "are you ready?" and counts to three, Vivian appears to be slightly hesitant before they leap over the edge, and she ends up hitting the water sideways. Ouch.

While sharing the video with his followers, Tom captioned it, "If Vivi is going to be an Olympic champion one day, it probably won't be in synchronized diving. Daddy always gives her a 10 though!" The post has since been flooded with a flurry of mixed reactions about the safety of Tom and Vivian's daring waterfall plunge.

Although some people, including Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry and professional football player Harry Kane, simply commented with cry-laughing emoji as a response to Tom's funny caption, others were pretty concerned about his child's plunge into the water. "She's your child Tommy! From what I see that wasn't your best pass. You were a little off," one follower commented. American surfer Kelly Slater added his two cents as well, writing "That shoulder ok?" with a nervous-looking emoji. The post even caught the eye of Dwayne Johnson, who chimed in on the divisive matter, writing, "You KNOW I have complete faith in you as a man, friend, player and father - but this just gave me anxiety. Geeezus."

Where do you stand on the debate? Did Tom's cliff-jumping adventure also give you anxiety? Would you do the same with your own child?
