Video of Sterling Brown Announcing Emmys With His Son

Sterling K. Brown Announced His Emmy Nominations With His 3-Year-Old Son, and It Could've Gone Better

While nabbing a slew of Emmy nominations is certainly something to be proud of for professional actors, Sterling K. Brown's 3-year-old son Amaré isn't all that wowed. In a hilarious video, the This Is Us star shared he was nominated for the best lead actor in a drama series for his role as Randall Pearson, and attempted to have his son share the news. But like most plans involving 3-year-olds, things quickly went awry. After explaining that he got nominated for an Emmy, Amaré gave his dad a half-hearted "congratulations."

To make matters even more hysterical, Amaré seemed to be very confused as to why the 43-year-old would be happy to get an "enemy." Sterling reassured his son that the Emmys were "a good thing," but clearly, Amaré wasn't buying it. "The Emmys are worse!" responded Amaré. To wrap up the clip, the duo congratulated the rest of the This Is Us cast for the show's nine nominations, as well as the other nominees in his category, and gosh, we are just LOLing at how adorable this pair is. Big congrats to Sterling on yet another enemy Emmy nomination!
