Axel Strahl Meyers

Seth and Alexi welcomed their second son, Axel, on April 8, 2018. And if you laughed at Seth's retelling of Ashe's birth, his story about Axel being born in the lobby of their apartment building in New York City is even more exciting.

Because Ashe's birth was so fast, Seth immediately called an Uber to get them to the hospital once Alexi's labour with Axel started. "My wife just says: 'I can't get in the car. I'm going to have the baby right now. The baby is coming.' I'm just trying to calm her down . . . I'm like, 'Look, no,' because I've been through exactly one birth," he shared, adding that she was totally correct and Axel was already well on his way. "I called 911 and over the course of a minute conversation, I said, 'We're about to have a baby; we're having a baby; we had a baby.' I went from someone calling in about an emergency to just sharing good news with a stranger."

Of his son's name, Seth said, "We named him Axel because it's just a name we liked, but I'm going to tell him it's because firemen were there when he was born." And just like both of his brother's names, Axel's middle name has really special meaning. "His middle name is Strahl, which is my mother-in-law Joanne's [maiden name]. I never met my wife's grandparents, but I've heard so much about them. They were Holocaust survivors who met the day after they were liberated — they met in a hospital in Austria — and days like this . . . when someone's born, you just have such an appreciation for everyone in your lineage who lived so that you could have this moment. So we're just so happy to give him this name for people who obviously had to work so hard to do that."
