Julianne and Bart's oldest child, a son named Caleb — who goes by Cal — was born on Dec. 4, 1997. Following his parents' lead, Cal made his acting debut in a small role alongside his mom in Trust the Man. In 2014, Cal appeared in Still Alice, also starring his famous mama and directed by his dad.
Since graduating from Davidson College in May 2020, Cal has paved his way in the entertainment industry as a film composer and songwriter who plays multiple instruments. The two titles appear in his Instagram bio and he's credited as the composer for the 2021 documentary film, A Valley Divided.
On his 22nd birthday, Julianne celebrated her son and gushed about how proud she is of him and his accomplishments in a post to Instagram. "Happy Birthday to the man who made me a mom," she wrote. "I love you so much @cal_freundlich and am proud of everything you have achieved, but mostly of who you are and have always been. Enjoy your birthday but be careful ok? I can't help it."
