There's nothing quite like the disappointment of expecting a package, and then it not coming on its scheduled delivery date. It can be maddening, and also difficult to make sure that when shipments do arrive, they won't get stolen. Well, Amazon's heard your complaints, and they're taking action. Starting right now, Amazon Prime members can take advantage of a new service called Amazon Day, which allows you to choose exactly what day you want your packages delivered. If you work from home on Fridays, you can schedule all your deliveries so you'll be able to receive them, or if you know you'll be away all day Tuesday, your packages won't arrive then.
The other great part of this news? By choosing what day you want your packages to arrive, it means your order will contain fewer separate shipments, and thereby produce less waste. No more cursing the fact that you got five different shipments from a single order! Or, if you've ordered multiple items, it'll still all come together. Amazon Day is one of the ways the company is hoping to make 50 percent of all Amazon shipments net zero carbon by 2030, and that's a mission we can get behind.
