On the rare occasions when I do leave the house nowadays, I'm doing so in a KN95 or KF94 mask, because they're more protective than my traditional cloth masks, and I want to be as safe as I possibly can. I feel like I've tried a bunch of different masks, but I may have found a new favourite in the Evolvetogether KN95 Masks ($15 for five). The cool thing is, I'm not the only one. There's a lot to like about this mask, but for me, comfort is number one. At first glance, the KN95 mask looks like a standard disposable mask, but it has two flaps tucked inside it, one with a wire that's meant to go over your nose and one that's meant to go under your chin. The result is a mask with a secure fit that feels like I'm wearing nothing. I also love that it comes in biodegradable packageing and has six layers of protection. This includes a water-resistant exterior, two layers of filtration, a layer of activated charcoal to help with odour prevention, and two layers of a moisture-absorbent interior, so you can comfortably wear it all day long. Plus, the silhouette of the mask actually looks good, and it comes in sleek, cool colours.
The only issue with these masks is that they sell quickly. They're restocking in the next few days, so you can sign up to be notified when they actually do, or you can buy the classic disposable masks while you wait.
