Doja Cat is officially inked. On 5 Feb., the "Vegas" singer inconspicuously debuted her first two tattoos on the red carpet of the 2023 Grammy Awards. Before the award show, Doja tweeted, "got my first tattoos today," without sharing any other details, but fans didn't get a good look at the two delicate designs on her arms until she changed into her second outfit of the night. The initial tattoo, done on her inner left bicep, depicted what appears to be a finely drawn devil holding up a pitchfork. Beneath this mischievous creature, Doja showed off a dainty spider tattoo on her forearm, executed in a similar style, but slightly bolder and more noticeable in its placement.

Because Doja arrived in a full latex Versace look, complete with gloves that nearly reached her armpits, it was difficult to spot her new tattoos at first. Her latest (and most permanent) accessories became visible only once she removed her gloves and slipped into a strapless brown leather dress custom-made by Knwls and styled by Brett Alan Nelson. She added to the edginess of her outfit with smoky makeup and thin drawn-on eyebrows, piling her hair into a messy blonde updo à la Pamela Anderson.

Although the devil and spider imagery is believed by some to be representative of themes like protection and strength, Doja has yet to comment on the specific meaning of her tattoos. And considering that Doja is an artist who's been very forthright about her desire to escape other people's expectations — specifically when it comes to beauty — we're just happy to see that her first tattoos are ones she clearly loves. Read on to see them for yourself in greater detail.
