While I've been told I have "beautiful skin," I fully attribute that to makeup. Underneath all the foundation, bronzer, and blush, my skin is consistently red. I also have faded acne marks and am prone to pimples (lucky me, I always have at least one active pimple at all times). On top of that, I have relatively dry skin.

Finding a moisturiser that fits all of my specific needs has always seemed like a daunting task, and because of that, I've only ever used the same drugstore moisturiser. But after almost 20 years, I finally felt ready to (gasp) try something new. The key is to find products worth investing in, and to be honest, in the past, I was just too lazy to put in the work.

Kiehl's is a skincare brand with a cult-following that I've only heard positive things about. Plus, my gym exclusively stocks their locker rooms with Kiehl's items and I always enjoy using them post-workout. I figured this would be a good place to start with my skincare journey, and I could not have been more right.

The brand's Rosa Arctica Lightweight Cream ($60) immediately intrigued me. It contains vitamin E to help neutralise skin-damageing free radicals as well as glycerin to help retain moisture and soften skin. It's also infused with a "resurrection flower" known to survive periods of dehydration up to 31 months. Impressive, right?

I love that this formula is lighter than Kiehl's original cream and absorbs fast without leaving behind any residue. That's a must for me in the mornings since I layer my makeup on top of my moisturiser and need everything to apply flawlessly. Most importantly, it doesn't irritate my sensitive combo skin and it doesn't break me out either.

After using this baby for about a month now, I've watched my skin transform — revealing a more fresh, supple texture with a soft glow. In addition, a little goes a long way, which my wallet very much appreciates.

I am so glad I finally broke out of my comfort zone and tried this game-changing moisturiser. I was so ecstatic about the results, I started looking for other Kihel's products I could add to my essentially non-existent skincare routine. And guess what? Now I have somewhat of a regime that is actually improving the look and feel of my entire face — who would've thought?
