R+Co Sea Salt Spray (£11.50), another favourite of Eagland's, can be applied to damp or dry hair to give your hair just enough grit and texture without making it feel dirty. "I mist this through the hair being careful not to spray it too close to the scalp," he says of his application technique. "Then I'll either rough-dry the hair with my fingers or use a diffuser, depending on how natural I want the look to be. This then gives me the ideal base for any type of heat styling I'll do after."
Eagland's top tip: Always be aware of the texture and thickness of your hair. Finer hair needs much less product than thicker, heavier textures.
