"Having sensitive and combination skin, I usually exfoliate once a week or once every other week on my oily T-zone. I also have hyperpigmentation under my cheekbones that have been with me since I was a teenager. So once I learned about how the Hyper Skin Even Fade and Glow AHA Mask ($48) targets both clogged pores and dark spots, I was excited to give this mask a try on my dark spots and T-zone.
Since the product needed to be left on the face for 15 minutes, I decided to put it to the test during the deep conditioning part of my haircare routine. Following the instructions, I cleansed my face then used a dime-sized amount of the mask on my T-zone and dark spots. The texture of the mask going onto my skin reminded me of a thick lip balm. Shortly after applying the mask I felt a little tingling for about 30 seconds on my cheeks, then my skin felt comfortable for the remainder of the 15 minutes.
With it's balmy texture, I was nervous that the mask would be difficult to remove, but thankfully, it rinsed off cleanly with warm water. After patting my skin dry I looked in the mirror and was pleasantly surprised by my results with only one use. My oily areas were cleaned without leaving my skin feeling dry and the dark spots on my cheeks appeared to have faded a bit. Relieved that the Even Fade and Glow AHA Mask didn't irritate my sensitive skin, I'm excited to continue using it as one of my go-to exfoliating masks." — Angelica Wilson, associate editor, Fitness
