Lip gloss is one of the first makeup products I ever got to experiment with as a preteen, and flash-forward a decade and a half, it's the one product I carry with me wherever I go. It's easily become one of my all-time-favourite makeup products, and therefore I'm quite particular about my favourites. Although I can appreciate a striking matte lip, the overly drying feeling isn't something I can tolerate. This lip gloss has the best parts of a high-shine lip gloss and a hydrating lip balm. It's truly the best of both worlds. Plus, it comes in a variety of colours as well, whether you're looking for a "my lips but better" neutral shade or a vibrant wash of colour.
The Tower 28 Beauty ShineOn Jelly Lip Gloss comes in 12 shades in two types of finishes. The original ShineOn Jelly Lip Gloss adds a sheer wash of translucent colour to your lips. These come in bright and bold colours like vibrant pink and berry tones, vivid reds and oranges, and even a clear gloss packed with gold shimmer. The line also has a range that's semisheer and more natural looking with neutral tones. The ShineOn Milky Jelly Lip Gloss comes in five shades ranging from a milky nude and rosy pink to milky browns. The shade Almond, the semisheer milky chocolate brown, is my go-to neutral lip gloss for that "my lips but better" look and also as a topper for a nude lip.
It has an elegant consistency that's moisturising and flexible on the lips. The gloss has just the right amount of slip where it's not oily but not sticky either. It contains a blend of moisturising oils like apricot-kernel oil, raspberry-seed oil, and rosehip oil that feels weightless yet conditioning on the lips. It feels like all that hydration and moisture are sinking into your lips. The lip gloss has a stunning high-shine finish that makes my lips look plump and bouncy.
Tower 28 Beauty's ShineOn Jelly Lip Gloss is something I use anytime I go out, whether it's to brunch or just a grocery run.
