I Never Knew I Needed a "Boob Polish," Until I Actually Tried One

Ya know . . . of all the bizarre products I've come across as a beauty editor — butt sticks, bikini masks, etc. — I still never once thought I'd be sitting in my bathroom staring down a jar of "boob polish" for the sake of experimentation. But of course, being adventurous is an unwritten part of my job description, so a few weeks ago when I received a sample of the Truly Beauty Acai Your Boobies Boob Polish ($28), I obviously had to give it a try.
I'll start by saying that even though I care a lot about perfecting my skin-care routine and making sure I'm consistently using products that'll keep my skin looking and feeling healthy as can be, I've never put much thought into boob maintenance — I don't have large breasts, and stretch marks have never been much of an issue for me — so you can see why this product intrigued me.
The Acai Your Boobies Boob Polish is touted as a firming and tightening product meant to "smoothen skin and nips" while also targeting the appearance of stretch marks and fine lines. It features ingredients like vitamin A, which promotes healthy skin-cell production and minimizes signs of ageing, and açai, also known for improving the skin's appearance. Last year, the polish even went viral on TikTok, with some people referring to it as "plastic surgery in a bottle," and while I think that statement itself is a bit of stretch, I will say I've enjoyed using this product for the last two weeks.
The boob polish itself is basically an exfoliator that you can apply to your breasts and rinse off while showering. Even though it appears very thick and buttery at first, it actually has a very smooth, whipped texture that melts onto your body when exposed to heat and water. It also features tiny exfoliating beads and a delicious dragonfruit scent (that alone made me an instant fan). I wouldn't say this product had much of a tightening effect, but I definitely noticed it made my skin feel smoother and softer almost immediately. It gave me the same results that a body conditioner would.
To a normal, non-beauty-obsessed human, a boob polish might not seem like the most necessary skin-care product in the world, but I'll admit that it is worth it — whether you're looking for a way to maintain the skin on your chest or you just want to pamper yourself with a little something extra during your shower experience.
