Prince Harry Sings a Song From Hamilton

Prince Harry Actually Sang a Bit of Hamilton On Stage, and the Cast's Reaction Was Perfect

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's glamorous night out to see Hamilton in London on Wednesday culminated with Harry taking to the stage to make a very memorable speech. The special performance was in honor of his charity, Sentebale, and as Harry stepped up to thank the crowd for their donations and support, he got the whole crowd cheering — and the cast in stitches — as he broke into the opening line of "You'll Be Back", a song performed in the show by the actor playing his ancestor, King George III.

Lin-Manuel Miranda clearly had a little something to do with Harry's public singing debut. After he quickly stopped singing and joined the laughter, Harry pointed at Lin and explained, "He did try, but I said no." Hamilton's creator then took to Twitter and joked that "King George III's great-great-great-great-great-great grandson The Duke Of Sussex sang a few bars tonight."

Michael Jibson, who currently has the role of King George, also shared a photo of himself with Harry, where he confirmed that the prince had asked the question on everyone's lips: is the crown heavy? See the moment ahead, and relive Harry's musical moment for yourself.
