Fergie Celebrates Son Axl's 10th Birthday With Rare Throwback Photos
Fergie's son is already in his double digits. On 29 Aug., the 48-year-old singer and mum of one celebrated Axl's 10th birthday with a sweet Instagram post, sharing a gallery of pictures over the years. "To my caring, funny, outgoing, loving, smart, talkative, creative super hero enthusiast. Happy 10th birthday punky!!! I love you Axl Jack," she wrote alongside a mix of silly snaps at home and posed professional photos.
Axl's dad, Josh Duhamel, wished him a happy birthday on live TV. While cohosting a CBS News segment, he led the crowd at the Minnesota State Fair in celebrating his son: "My son turns 10 today, Aug. 29, and obviously he's not with me, he's back in California, so I'd really appreciate it if everybody could sing him a happy birthday." Fergie and Duhamel have been amicably coparenting Axl since they split in 2017.
In an interview with Fatherly earlier this year, Duhamel opened up about raising Axl with Fergie. "Fergie, she was very much 'No matter what, we have to be civil for Axl,'" he said. "She was very adamant about not letting him meet people I was dating until we'd been dating for six months or something. Or was it four months? I forget. I dated a couple of girls, and he never got to meet them. Which I'm glad." Duhamel married model Audra Mari in September 2022.
Though Axl is rarely in the spotlight, the former Black Eyed Peas star and the actor often share glimpses of their child on social media. Following Mother's Day, Axl appeared on Fergie's Instagram in an adorable photo of the mother-son pair in coordinating outfits. Duhamel also shared a cute selfie with his son on Father's Day, writing, "Want to wish all my fellow fathers out there a good day. You deserve it. And to my buddy boy . . . you bring my life a lot of joy. Love you kid."
