IT pioneer, businesswoman, and philanthropist Stephanie "Steve" Shirley was made a dame in 2000 and was photographed here after being made a member of the Order of the Companions of Honour in 2017. This extraspecial honour is held by a maximum of 65 people at any given time. As well as being a pioneer in the world of computing, Dame Stephanie has donated over £60 million to different causes over her lifetime.
