February 6, 2017: Queen Elizabeth celebrates 65 years on the throne
The longest reigning monarch celebrated a significant milestone in 2016. Queen Elizabeth was only 25-years-old when she ascended the throne following her father's passing. She's ruled longer than any other monarch in British history, and continues to perform royal duties at 93 years of age.
