Serena Williams Shares Instagram Photo of Baby Bump: "Planning on Being Stylish This Time Around"
Serena Williams revealed that she's expecting her second child at the 2023 Met Gala, and now, she's showing off her bump. On 2 May, Williams shared a post on Instagram of herself decked out in Gucci, posing alongside her husband, Alexis Ohanian. "Planning on being stylish this time around," she captioned it. Ohanian also shared a similar photo on 4 May, writing, "Mama & Papa."
Williams broke the news about her second pregnancy while on the red carpet at the fashion event, telling reporters that there were "three" people in attendance on her and Ohanian's night out. "I'm feeling good now. I can breathe," she said. "I can stop hiding." The following day, she shared an Instagram photo of herself dressed in her Gucci gown. "Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala," she captioned the post.
Williams and Ohanian got engaged in 2016 and welcomed their first child, Olympia, in September 2017. They then tied the knot in November of that year. Since then, Williams and Ohanian have both frequently shown off their love for their daughter. In March, Ohanian took Olympia out to dinner on a sweet father-daughter date. In December 2022, Williams threw Olympia a "Moana"-themed birthday party, and she received an actual pony from her parents for Christmas that year. It's clear the family's second baby will be born into a ton of love.
