What Was Cersei Doing During the Battle of Winterfell?
As the Battle of Winterfell Raged On, Cersei Was Just Like . . . *Sips Tea, Paints Nails*
The epic Battle of Winterfell on Game of Thrones marks the ultimate fight between the living and the dead, the potential end of humanity itself, and as the ice-and-fire-filled combat rages on, Cersei Lannister sits back on the chaise lounge in her King's Landing chambers sipping a nice glass of Cabernet, the hint of a smirk on her lips. Or, at least, that's one plausible theory.
We haven't seen a glimpse of Cersei since the season eight premiere because, well, everyone's rather busy figuring out how to protect the fate of mankind. Although she promises to bring her army North to help fight the battle against the Night King, Cersei — shocker! — doesn't follow through. Instead, she focuses on building up her forces and wondering why the hell she never got the elephants she was promised.
Now that mankind is safe courtesy of one Arya Stark, those still standing at Winterfell have one last enemy to beat: Cersei. There are plenty of theories about how Cersei might die (and who will have the honour of defeating her), but in the meantime, I'm still laughing at Twitter's hilarious takes on what, exactly, she's up to as lives are lost left and right during the Battle of Winterfell.
