Who Is The Bachelor 2019?

Who Will Be the Next Bachelor? ABC Has Reportedly Chosen 1 of These 3 Guys

It's the question that's been on everyone's mind ever since the dramatic finale of Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette: who's going to be the next Bachelor?! Although the leading man can technically be chosen from any crop of suitors on past iterations of The Bachelorette, rumour has it that not only will ABC definitely be pulling from Becca's last group of suitors, but that the network has already picked one of three men: Jason Tartick, Colton Underwood, or Blake Horstmann.

According to Us Weekly, ABC has asked one of them to be the next Bachelor and he said yes, but "it wasn't an easy choice." There were reportedly "a lot of options" for this season of The Bachelor, and "it came down to a three-way tie." Now it seems ABC has made its choice. Becca, for what it's worth, is pulling for Jason, who is also a fan-favourite of Bachelor Nation. Jason even told Glamour recently that he'd say yes if he was asked. "The experience is incredible," he said. "It exceeded everything I could have asked for, and because of that I would be more than open if that opportunity presented itself."

As for Blake and Colton? Blake definitely earned some fans after getting dumped by Becca after an emotional season, and he would hopefully have had enough time to move on from his relationship with her by the time the new season would air in January 2019. In the case of 26-year-old former NFL player Colton, however, things are a little murkier considering he's currently starring on Bachelor in Paradise and seems very much in love with Tia Booth, which was a contributing factor for why Becca eliminated him from her season.

Assuming Colton and Tia break up at the end of this season of BIP, it wouldn't necessarily seem very genuine for him to turn around a few short months later and claim to be ready for a whole new journey for love. That being said, Bachelor Nation rumour machine Reality Steve recently hinted on Twitter that Colton fans should have faith that BIP won't be the last they see of him in the franchise.

Since we probably won't find out who the next Bachelor actually is until the Bachelor in Paradise reunion show, brush up on everything there is to know about Blake, Jason, and Colton ahead.

Jason Tartick

Jason was compared to everyone from Al Pacino to Andrew Keegan during his time on Becca's season, but the 29-year-old corporate banker from Buffalo, NY, proved you should never judge a book by its slicked-back-hair-wearing cover. During the last few handful of episodes, he came off as sweet, sincere, and down-to-earth, especially when he introduced Becca to his family, brother, and brother-in-law during a hometown date.

Blake Horstmann

Remember when Blake brought a horse to The Bachelorette? Yeah, well, he's come a long way since then. The Denver native is a sales rep for Coors beer, went to college in Nebraska, and has a close bond with his mother and sister. When he took Becca to visit them, he also opened up about a tragic shooting that occurred at his high school, which made Becca realise he was taking their relationship seriously. Sadly Becca broke his heart in the Maldives by picking Garrett instead, and Bachelor Nation has been gunning for a comeback for Blake ever since.

Colton Underwood

The former NFL star started his own charity, the Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation, and in addition to dating Becca and Tia, he's also been in a relationship with Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman. One of the big things to remember about Colton's time on Becca's season — other than the awkward love triangle with Tia — was the fact he's still a virgin. He told Becca that's not waiting for marriage, but merely waiting for the right person. We can already imagine the field day The Bachelor's producers would have with that storyline during his Fantasy Suite episodes . . .
