Something spooky will be arriving on Netflix soon. On Oct. 26, the long-awaited Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will land on the streaming site with Mad Men favourite Kiernan Shipka taking on the iconic role of teenage witch Sabrina Spellman. The character has been around since her 1962 appearance in the Archie comics, but the character is perhaps best known from the '90s comedy starring Melissa Joan Hart as a teen witch who lives with her eccentric aunts. While Chilling Adventures of Sabrina promises to be far scarier and darker in tone than the '90s series, at least one thing will remain the same: Sabrina will still have her Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda to support her as she grows into her powers. While Aunt Zelda is played by The Lord of the Rings star Miranda Otto, the more carefree of the two sisters, Aunt Hilda, is played by Lucy Davis.

Even if Davis's name doesn't immediately sound familiar, there's an excellent chance you know the gifted British actress. She's perhaps best known to moviegoers as Wonder Woman's best friend, Etta Candy. She proved herself to be a scene-stealer in the 2017 blockbuster, where her comic timing made her the perfect companion for Gal Gadot's Diana. However, Wonder Woman wasn't her first big-screen success. In 2004, she starred alongside Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in the zombie horror comedy Shaun of the Dead. She played Dianne, the best friend of Shaun's girlfriend, Liz, and an aspiring actor who teaches the rest of the gang how to blend in with the zombies during a particularly memorable moment in the film.

There's no denying that Davis's movie roles have been major ones, but since the mid-'90s, she's also been a familiar face on television both in the UK and the United States. She got her big break in the 1995 version of Pride and Prejudice — yes, the one starring a soaking-wet Colin Firth — where she played the role of Maria Lucas. Then in 2001, she landed a pivotal role in the original version of The Office. Davis starred as Dawn Tinsley, and her character's will-they-or-won't-they relationship with Martin Freeman's Tim formed the template for Jim and Pam's romance in the US version of the series.

After her fan-favourite role as Dawn, Davis went on to make guest appearances in shows like Black Books and Ugly Betty before landing a regular role on the short-lived Aaron Sorkin series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. More recently, Davis played best friend to another leading lady, Pamela Adlon, in FX's hit series Better Things. Now that she's heading to Greendale as Sabrina's iconic Aunt Hilda, it's time to take a look back at Davis's most famous roles.
