Thorne will be taking on the role of Riri in "Ironheart." The actress made her movie debut in the 2018 film "If Beale Street Could Talk," which is based on James Baldwin's 1974 novel of the same name, and then went on to star in the 2021 film "Judas and the Black Messiah" alongside "Get Out" and "Black Panther" star Daniel Kaluuya before appearing in "Wakanda Forever."
Starring alongside Williams is "In the Heights" star Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins, aka The Hood. While Riri's powers are all scientific, Parker taps into the dark arts and magic. At the start of the series, the two are friends.
Jim Rash will be reprising his role as the dean of MIT, which he first portrayed in "Captain America: Civil War." Lyric Ross will play Riri's best friend. "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Shea Couleé has been cast in an undisclosed role. The ensemble also includes Harper Anthony, Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, Zoe Terakes, Regan Aliyah, Shakira Barrera, Rashida "Sheedz" Olayiwola, Sonia Denis, Paul Calderón, and Cree Summer.
