We may just be rounding out the summer, but in Dollywood, the festive season is basically here. In preparation, NBC recently announced the newest guest stars in Dolly Parton's upcoming Christmas film, "Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas," including the country legend's own goddaughter, Miley Cyrus. The network also cast Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Jimmie Allen, and Zach Williams as additional guests, with Tom Everett Scott, Ana Gasteyer, and Angel Parker set to star alongside Parton.

The holiday special is set to be a full movie musical, centred around Parton's desire to spread the "Mountain Magic" of Dollywood at Christmastime, and the plot is reportedly full of heartwarming Christmas themes. According to a press release from NBC, the film takes off when "Three Wise Mountain Men" appear to Parton, guiding her on a journey through her past and help her become reinspired by the magic of Christmas.

When Parton finally returns to the present to film her big special, she shares what she's learned, realising that Christmas is really about faith, heart, and the people we surround ourselves with. Having actual family members like Cyrus as a part of the movie is sure to drive this point home even further, especially since Cyrus has often spoken about the close bond she shares with Parton. While a release date for the holiday musical has yet to be announced, we can't wait to watch the two on the big screen together and find out what Christmas really looks like in Dollywood.
