"Love Is Blind: After the Alter" Teases New Drama and Marital Troubles in the Season 2 Trailer
The juicy pod drama from "Love Is Blind" season two is far from over in the show's "After the Alter" trailer. Netflix released the emotional teaser on 22 Aug. with updates on what happened after the series' couples exchanged "I dos" and everyone else got back to reality.
The one-minute-and-thirty-second trailer gets viewers caught up on married life with Iyanna and Jarrette and Danielle and Nick, while also digging into new romances with Kyle and Deepti, and Shaina and her husband, Christos Lardakis. Meanwhile, it seems the "Love Is Blind" season two reunion didn't settle all differences between the cast. The "After the Alter" trailer also teases some tension between Shaina, Shayne, and Natalie, with the latter expressing that she needs to "tell [her] truth" about events that have transpired between the trio.
"Love Is Blind"'s second season premiered on 11 Feb. and wrapped up with an explosive reunion on 4 March. However, its "After the Alter" special, which airs on 16 Sept., will finally put a button on season two. Netflix released the first "Love Is Blind: After the Alter" three-part special on 28 July, 2021, over a year after the reality series premiered its first season. Since then, the only couples from season one who have remained together are Cameron and Lauren and Amber and Barnett.
The "Love Is Blind: After the Alter" season two special arrives after both Iyanna and Jarrette and Danielle and Nick announced they were divorcing after one year of marriage. While the former couple shared news of their separation via Instagram, Us Weekly reported that Danielle filed for divorce from her husband, per court documents obtained by the outlet, as the two have yet to publicly comment on their split. It's unclear if either pair's breakups will be shown in their "After the Alter" special.
