Mariah Carey and Her Kids Join in on Viral "Touch My Body" TikTok Trend
Mariah Carey is finally hopping on TikTok's latest dance trend. On 19 July, Carey joined in on the viral "Touch My Body" challenge with her 12-year-old twins and glam squad. In a video posted on her TikTok and Instagram, Carey is seen wearing a denim crop top and cut-off jeans as her hairstylist and makeup artist touch up her hair and makeup. Then, her kids got in on the fun as they all started dancing along to Carey's 2008 hit playing in the background. "Why not? Jumping on the trend of my own song lol," she captioned the clip.
If you've been scrolling on the social media app the past few weeks, you've likely seen groups of friends, coworkers, and families dancing to the popular song. In fact, Carey's twins with ex-husband Nick Cannon, Monroe and Moroccan, previously tried out the trend with their dad. On 30 June, the father of 12 shared a silly TikTok video featuring the trio dancing to "Touch My Body." "Only Right!! Shout out to Mommy!!! The Empress Queen of all Queens!" he wrote alongside the clip.
Carey and Cannon recently celebrated their twins' 12th birthday in April. In an Instagram post highlighting Monroe and Moroccan, the singer wished her "favourite people on the planet" a happy birthday, sweetly adding that they'll "always be my babies."
