Mendoza is out for blood. While being questioned about the riots, she and Blanca turn on Ruiz, pinning the blame on her. Despite their bad blood, however, Mendoza finds herself in the C Block, trying to stay out of any drama.
She begins participating in max's exercise program and later goes on to teach salsa dancing classes to the girls. Her time as a dance instructor is cut short when she's threatened by Badison and her crew for getting too close to Luschek.
Looking for a hobby, she volunteers to help Flaca with her radio show while Cindy is off in court. Just before going on-air, Mendoza finds a scoresheet in Luschek's desk. She discovers that the guards are playing a fantasy league with the inmates, encourageing them to fight with one another. She's sent to the SHU after threatening to expose the guards.
