Freedom for Frieda? The other girls don't seem to think so! Frieda kicks off the season with a failed suicide attempt. She then turns on Red by providing damageing testimony against her. We come to find that this isn't the first time she's turned her back on a friend.
In flashbacks, we see that Frieda once worked for Carol, selling drugs back in the day. She ends up stealing Carol's stash and turning her in, and her sister Barb, in exchange for a deal to be moved up the hill, out of max.
Now, back in max, Frieda fears some old friends may be seeking revenge. She betrays Red in exchange for a deal to be moved to the B Block, aka Florida. Florida is full of pink uniforms, elderly ladies, and special case women. It's basically an old folks home with very little action.
Frieda befriends Suzanne, who opts to help protect her against Carol, Barb, and Red. Despite having multiple enemies out to kill her, Frieda lives on in her pink jumpsuit, eating oatmeal cream pies.
