He's All That is a classic "makeover" movie, and so is What a Girl Wants, but with one major difference. Instead of the "makeover" being connected to a love interest, the main relationship in What a Girl Wants is between a daughter and her estranged father. When Daphne goes to London to try to meet her father, he's surprised but happy to meet her, but Daphne quickly learns that the rules of the British high society are very different than American high school.
