Avant garde, bizarre, and intriguing, "Flux Gourmet" centres around a group of performance artists who live in a remote institution dedicated to improving their skills in their respective craft. When an outsider is sent to observe and report on the group's unusual activities and artistic rituals, he starts to assimilate into the group. In the film, Butterfield plays Billy Rubin, one of the more reserved and normal inhabitants of the institution.
