Martin Scorsese's 2011 film "Hugo" was received with overwhelmingly positive reviews at the time of its release and earned 11 Oscar nominations, including best picture and best cinematography. Based on the 2007 novel "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznick, the film centres around the titular young orphan (played by Butterfield), who lives alone in a Paris train station.
