A fresh twist on the Cinderella fairytale, this romance is set in Renaissance-era France, where Danielle is a young woman forced into servitude after the death of her parents. When she disguises herself as a noblewoman to save the life of a servant, she catches the eye of Prince Henry, and the two begin to fall in love. Danielle continues to conceal her true identity, all while her wicked stepmother tries to foist her own awful daughter on the prince, and Henry must contend with his own parents' pressure to marry a foreign princess.
